Cultural Experience (admission, one hour guided tour & cultural performance)
Join an hourly guided tour, which takes place on the hour (1 hour in duration) with a local through Whakarewarewa Village and see and learn how geothermal activity continues to be used as part of everyday Village life.
Be enchanted by the in-house kapa haka group, at the twice daily cultural performance show (11.15am & 2.00pm)
Explore Te Whakarewarewa Geothermal valley and have your breath taken away at the sight of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest geyser, Pohutu, which erupts up 30m (100ft) 20 times per day. Get up close to bubbling mud and geothermal lakes on the nature trails: There’s a trail for every level of fitness.
Geothermal Hangi Experience: This includes all elements of the Cultural Experience above, and includes a delicious hangi meal lunch with steamed pudding for dessert.
Hangi Pie Experience: Enjoy all elements of the Cultural Experience package above, as well as lunch: Feast on world-famous Whaka Hangi Pie meal, topped off with steamed pudding for dessert.
